The Museum will organize in 2010 an extensive exibition on Roman miliatry equipment in Croatia. This exibition of the Archaeological museum is organized on the occasion of the 17th inernational congress on Roman military equipment (XVII Roman Military Equipment Conference - ROMEC). The congress and the exhibition are organized by the Archaeological museum in Zagreb and the Department of archaeology at the Faculty of philosophy of the Zagreb University.

The exhibition intends to show the rich legacy of the Roman army from our territory; it involves, other than the AMZ, numerous other Croatian museums keeping the relevant archaeological material. Croatia possesses rich archaeological material, some of it only recently discovered and unknown both to experts and the public.

As an inseparable accompanying segment of the exhibition a bilingual catalogue will be published, containing the information on the exhibits and a review of the subject covered by the exhibition. The catalogue will stay not only as a permanent remainder on the exhibition, but also a valuable scientific contribution to the problem of Roman military history of the area.
