Subject: The exhibition presents the results of analyses performed on the mummy kept in the AMZ, donated by Bishop J.J. Strossmayer in the 19th century. This mummy of a human individual, inventoried under the number 666, was stored for years in the Museum depot. Since it arrived in an unauthentic, much later coffin, imitating the Old Egyptian style, its origin was rather suspicious. However, a C 14 test performed in 2009 has shown that the mummy originated in the 4th c. BC. In cooperation with the Clinical Hospital "Dubrava" and the Institute of Anthropology the mummy was analyzed with a CT machine, in order to gather more data. The exhibition presents this mummy along with other human remains, together with objects directly associated with the mummifying process, referring to that ancient Egyptian custom.
